Overview

Energy XXI is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company whose growth strategy emphasizes acquisitions, enhanced by its value-added organic drilling program. The company's properties are located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico waters and the Gulf Coast onshore. 

Responsibilities

  • Daily communication with the Offshore production operations in the respective areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for all third-party activities in the respective areas of responsibility
  • Ensures all production reporting is accurate and submitted in a timely manner
  • Maintain exemplary safety/operations standards
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of position
  • Mentor, coach, provide guidance/instruction to staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 8 years of offshore production operations experience required; May substitute completed college coursework in petroleum technology/engineering or related field of study in lieu of experience (30 hours of classes = 1 year of experience)
  • Ability to manage large groups of people on a daily basis and keep staff motivated/focused on safety, compliance and meeting production goals
  • Self-starting and self-motivated
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions with little-to-no instruction/guidance

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office/PC proficiency strongly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of offshore production operations experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve moderate to heavy physical activity and exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Work would involve activities relating to offshore facilities, which necessitates stair climbing
  • Must be able to use the platform swing rope from boat to platform and vice-versa
