    EGC is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company whose growth strategy emphasizes acquisitions, enhanced by its value-added organic drilling program.  The company's properties are located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico waters and the Gulf Coast onshore.  We are currently looking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant in Houston, Texas.

     

    Summary:

     

    The Administrative Assistant  will be responsible for conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings, and travel.   This role will report to the Vice President, Subsurface. 

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparation of slide presentations
    • Perform word processing of letters, memos, reports, agreements, exhibits and general business correspondence
    • Manage NETime vacation/sick entries for group
    • Develop and maintain a filing system beneficial to retrieval by department and company
    • Assist in document control both electronically and hard copy
    • Schedule appointments and meetings as requested
    • Coordinate travel for departmental employees as requested
    • Develop and maintain department action items and progress charts
    • Coordinate and manage logistics for departmental celebrations and meetings
    • Handle documents and sensitive confidential information with discretion
    • Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties
    • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management database systems, and basic bookkeeping work
    • Prepare expense reports and organization charts as needed for the department
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High-school diploma required
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience in a corporate environment
    • Proficient computer skills in MS Office
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and customer focus
    • Highly effective team player with a positive attitude
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
    • Willingness and ability to learn and take on more complex tasks
    • Takes responsibility for completing tasks with minimal supervision
    • Good time management and problem solving skills
    • Proper management of sensitive and confidential information

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

     

    • Associates degree or higher
    • Working knowledge of the oil and gas industry
