    Summary:

    The Contracting/Sourcing Specialist, Supply Chain role is responsible for developing and executing contracting strategies to deliver commercial value to the company.   The role requires strong oilfield product line knowledge and experience in material/service sourcing and executing strong commercial agreements in the GOM offshore/onshore environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Comply with supply chain policies, standards, and procedures
    • Work with business partners and suppliers to drive top-quartile safety performance and safety culture across the business
    • Cultivate strong working relationships with suppliers and contractors to deliver high quality services to the business
    • Work with key business partners to understand business issues and requirements, and identify strategic sourcing opportunities
    • Facilitate and manage EGC’s tendering process: determine, in coordination with business partners, appropriate tender recipients using industry standard selection procedures; evaluate proposals with the business to identify the best business solution; prepare tender documentation and present recommendations to SC management
    • Develop strong commercial agreements to deliver value to EGC in the form of cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and risk mitigation
    • Maintain “approved vendor lists” and ensure suppliers meet EGC’s contracting requirements
    • SRM – Supplier relationship management to include establishment of supplier KPI’s and define the operating rhythm for supplier reviews
    • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and to improve process efficiency and prepare business cases to be included in the opportunity register
    • Develop and maintain market intelligence and data analytics for budgetary planning and strategic sourcing leverageReporting, metrics/KPI tracking and document control

     

    Qualifications

    • Safety awareness with high level of passion for engaging people to put safety first
    • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Distribution strongly desired (or equivalent work experience); advanced degree a plus
    • 8-10 years professional level work experience in Supply Chain, preferably within E&P with strong understanding of industry product lines
    • Strong analytic skills, ability to understand strategies and business-related concepts
    • Robust understanding of financial indicators and ability to perform sound economic analysis (e.g., ROI, cash flow analysis, lease vs. buy, micro economics)
    • Ability to build rapport with and influence Senior Management
    • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and deliver compelling business presentations
    • Good organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure
    • Understanding and able to apply lean methodology and practices
    • Excel (pivot tables, charts, macros), PowerPoint, Word
    • Ability to work effectivity within the team and individuals in other departments and outside business relationships
