    EGC is an independent oil and natural gas exploration and production company whose growth strategy emphasizes acquisitions, enhanced by its value-added organic drilling program.  The company's properties are located in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico waters and the Gulf Coast onshore.  We are currently looking to fill the position of a Facilities Project Planner/Scheduler in Houston, Texas.


    • Develop and manage the integrated planning schedule of operations, maintenance and repair, brownfield, and greenfield projects
    • Facilitates cross-functional team planning sessions to ensure schedule alignment and resolution of conflicts
    • Evaluate project deviation and develop, with functional input, countermeasures and recovery plans to address potential schedule delays or timing/resource conflicts
    • Optimize and modify the projects/activity schedule as necessary to meet compliance requirements and minimize cost while enabling safe execution of projects
    • Develops conceptual schedules to evaluate various alternates or anticipated schedule challenges
    • Evaluate schedule and resource impacts of CMMS work orders and incorporate into schedule
    • Maintains schedule during the project life cycle monitoring progress and incorporating modifications where changes in the original scope occur or delays are encountered
    • Provides recommendations on cycle time reduction opportunities and techniques as applied to scheduling
    • Utilizes project cost estimates to resource load project schedules and gain alignment with estimated scope of work and the project schedule
    • Performs critical path analysis to determine problem areas in regards to project schedule and resource overloads and offers alternative courses of action to the project team
    • Coordinate with cost management team to ensure alignment of project schedules and cost forecasting
    • Applies established schedule management practices to ascertain critical schedule issues and recommend corrective actions
    • Defines comprehensive schedule management solutions for capital and expense projects
    • Serves as a schedule management subject matter expert


    • 5-10 years in project planning, preferably in upstream oil and gas operations
    • Strong analytical skills to assess and identify issues and ability to develop mitigation plans
    • Possess problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience with CMMS or similar work order systems
    • Experience with MS Project, Primavera or similar project management software
    • Advanced Excel user
    • Proficient with MSOffice suite
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness and ability to travel in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
    • Degreed Preferred: Engineering, Construction Management or Logistics discipline
